New selections will appear here each week. When a new group arrives, the previous artists will move into a simple dated archive.
Who qualifies
Early in the story.
New Seeds is intended for artists who are still genuinely emerging. These are editorial guidelines rather than rigid gates:
- Generally no more than three solo exhibitions at established galleries or institutions
- No representation by a major international gallery
- No major museum survey or widely recognized international prize
- A clear body of original work with a public portfolio or artist page
Artists may be based anywhere and may work in any medium. Selection is based on the work, not market momentum, social following or personal connections.
Suggest an artist
Who should we see?
We welcome suggestions from artists, curators, teachers, galleries and anyone who has encountered remarkable new work. Please include the artist’s name, location, a portfolio link, a short reason for the suggestion and any relevant exhibitions.
Suggestions are reviewed editorially. Submission does not guarantee inclusion, and Art Field Guide accepts no fees or paid placements.
